"It is easy to be pleasant when life flows by like a song, but the man worthwhile is the one who will smile when everything goes dead wrong. For the test of the heart is trouble, and it always comes with years,
and the smile that is worth the praises of earth is the smile that shines through the tears."
I am a qualified counsellor/psychotherapist with a substantial experience in working with children, young people and adults.
For many years I have been working with young and vulnerable people. It made me wonder why some people are prone to experiencing difficulties in their life and other seem to have relatively stable life.
I then decided to take on therapy course at London’s Birkbeck College. Early on in my training I started working as a school counsellor in primary school. I then went on to working with young people and adults.
My work is being conducted accordingly to British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy standards.
Private Psychotherapy Practice
Psychodynamic therapy, also known as insight-oriented therapy, focuses on unconscious processes as they are manifested in a person’s present behavior. The goals of psychodynamic therapy are a client’s self-awareness and understanding of the influence of the past on present behavior. In its brief form, a psychodynamic approach enables the client to examine unresolved conflicts and symptoms that arise from past dysfunctional relationships and manifest themselves in various forms of emotional difficulties.
- eating disorders
- sexual/emotional abuse
- sexual issues
- anger issues
All children and young people deserve
to have someone to talk in times of stress.
Family problems, bullying, bereavement, anxiety, exam nerves and self-esteem issues, are just a few examples of the problems your children may be facing on top of the pressure of all physical and psychological changes they are experiencing.
Counselling supports the emotional health and wellbeing of your child, which in turns underpins his/her academic achievement and facilities the building and management of happy relationships with siblings, parents and peers.
Each therapeutic session takes 50 minutes and is proceeded on a weekly basis.
Clients will be asked to sign a therapeutic contract, in which both, therapist and clients
agree to fulfil its conditions.
The contract concerns transparency of the therapeutic process, as well as clarifies its practical terms and conditions, i.e. time and frequency of the meetings.
It is important to note that family consultations are not carrying therapeutic functions.
They are design to help families recognize their problem and with therapist’s help,
think about the ways of tackling it within safe and supportive professional environment.
